Point Pinos Lighthouse

Our first stop from San Jose was Point Pinos Lighthouse. We came here at around 10 AM so the lighthouse was not opened (Sad!) so we stared at it for a few minutes and took some pictures through the fence. The lighthouse is located next to the beach and the Pacific Grove Golf Links. I wished we could see more of the lighthouse but we gotta drive through the next famous location!

17 Mile Drive

We drove through the 17-Mile Drive which is widely recognized as one of the most scenic drives in the world! The famous coastal landmark runs through Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach, from the dramatic Pacific coastline to the majestic Del Monte Forest. Before entering the drive by turning from Lighthouse Ave, you will need to pay $10 at the entrance as this is the road to lots of private properties. One can see luxurious villas and the world renowned golf course along the way. This made me more motivated to be rich one day! :-)

Garrapata Beach

After another trip to the closest Starbucks, we drove to Garrapata Beach that was about 10 minutes from Carmel-By-The-Sea. The view to the Pacific Coast here was amazing with the green hill on one side and wide open green field on another side. We didn’t know where exactly the hidden valley was but kept walking to the right of our parking spot and finally we found the hidden gem! It was one of the most beautiful flower field I had ever seen!
